here's the first pico game coded by Indy - my 7 year old boy!

the game starts straight away with gravity dragging you down - simply press the up arrow to boost your thrusters and stay in flight - but be careful not to boost them too much that you go into the ceiling!

Pretty good coding for someone so young. It wasn't until I was 9-years old when I wrote my first video-game and even then it was a kind of turn-based explore-the-haunted house game.

Think I'll have to STAR this for that merit.

BTW, if your boy is interested, I wrote something similar to this sometime ago.

Fun game! Nice to know someone so young is interested in this. My personal best high score is 3810.

Got up to 5000. I stopped it there. Does the difficulty increase over time ? If not I might have some suggestions on how to do this.

I love it!! It's so frustrating, I have hit the ceiling like a 1,000 times. How did dw817 get 5,000 !!

Can't wait indysly2012 for your next game!

I'm looking in the source-code now and seeing clever use of MID(). Something for me to learn.

aquinobeano, just play it. It doesn't get any harder. Now if it got more difficult the more you played, then yeah, my score would probably be a lot lower.
