This is the first thing I did in PICO-8. It's not so much a "game" as it is a proof of concept and an attempt to figure out what all this "machine" is capable of with a little inginuity. It...doesn't sound CLEAR, but it kinda sounds like speech, so I'll take that as a success at this point!

Someone posted a Super Scaler-16 demo sometime ago, but this newer method makes the possibility of a Outrun game even higher.
I can't do it, but somebody else could.
(Well, I suck with anything 3D, even faux 3D!)

Is that, "Hello World." being spoken ?
You are giving a bit of a hiss near the end and "d" has kind of a thunking sound to it, not a hiss like "sh" or "th" or "f" or "s."
It's a valiant attempt, granted. Pico-8's own audio is terribly limited, however.
