v0.51 - Crash ending fixed

v0.50 - This is my little platformer I've been working on. There is still a lot to do!

[Left and Right] to move
[x] to jump
[z] to run

(Don't forget to switch your keyboard inputs to QWERTY!)

You have a normal jump, an aerial jump and an aerial double jump!
Green and red blocks may appear and disappear based on the jump your are currently on.

Nice but it feels finicky

This game has a great concept and puzzles. I made it to the end, where it crashed. I was surprised to learn that it had a run button: I think it actually moves too "twitchy" right now and I feel like I have to fight the controls. It's also hard for me to read which blocks will disappear. I need, like, numbers counting down or something really obvious.

Apart from that, what I'd focus on next: placeholder title and ending, some prompts for controls. Give it a beginning, middle, and end!

For those who are having trouble, you can double jump. Still can't get past level 3.

The difference between the two types of jumps is very sticky. I would set so if you are holding (A) you automatically jump higher. No need for acceleration or movement.

Without (A) you jump normally. As it is I have to get a "running start" on a single tile to jump higher and it's very sticky to do that.

You could even just set it so (A) is normal jump, (B) is higher jump. Obviously you can't use higher jump all the time as it might run you into something painful - like ceiling spikes. :)

Thanks a bunch for your feedback y'all!

@triplefox I definitely should display something to show that you can run. I'm even thinking about dropping the walk altogether...

I thought about the number countdown, and the fact you bring it up make me think it's the right move to make!

@dw817 I wanted to give a momentum bonus for the jump... It's implemented but I still wonder if that's a good idea given the fact this is more a puzzle-plateformer than a full fledged platformer...

Also you are totally right about spikes. Those AND some kind of enemies definitely are on my to do list! :D
