This has been my little baby over the past week or so. It started with jotting down the train game by @program_ix from the Pico-8 zine #1, and then making it my own. I ended up using over half my tokens, two sprite banks, and the entire map space. I will leave it to you to discover its mysteries. Playing alongside a warm beverage recommended.

v1.1: Small update to effectively double the rate you gain resources.

runtime error on third train stop, attempt to access length of "text", a nil value.

it happens right after ma asks you if you heard what passengers say when they board the train. Sorry I can't be more specific, logging in refreshed the page.

Did a small update greatly increase the rate you gain resources. If that was stopping you from playing before, try it now.

Small bug: when you inspect a cactus, the text is too long and the line does not wrap.

I love this game! :D

Although I'm somewhat confused: although it works fine when played in a browser, I can't dismiss the text dialogs when I play in the standalone PICO-8... The first keypress - to start the game - works just fine.

I downloaded the .P8.PNG file into the "carts" folder (because I didn't know where to put it)... I'm wondering if I've done something wrong!
