Wouldn't you be prettier with Ruby Eyes?
Ruby Eyes is an intentionally opaque roguelike dungeon crawler where your goal is to become beautiful. Climb the floors of the Necromancer's tower and defeat your fellow minions who block your path to true beauty.
Knowledge is a skill, not a right.
Your stats are not described clearly anywhere in the game. It's up to you to learn from your experiences and determine the best path forward in the next run. There are no harmful or useless stats: everything benefits you in some way!
No skipping a turn - Plan carefully.
Be creative in your use of doors and items to ensure that you don't get hit! Step carefully around new enemies to learn their patterns and abilities.
Experience comes from new experiences.
Whenever you defeat a new enemy for the first time, you gain experience. There is no intrinsic benefit to combat, and no need to fight everything you come across. Both fleeing and stealth are valid strategies.
Exploration provides risks and rewards.
Depending on what you have to offer, the shopkeep may provide you access to secret levels. These levels may contain unique and dangerous enemies, but also valuable rewards.

This looks lovely, It just oozes charm. I love hiding in a barrel, the little animation is so charming! It sounds great, too. Nice track, nice sfx.
Your decision to leave everything opaque is great, it fits the genre very well. I think players outside of Picotron's bubble will also be able to enjoy this, will you share/sell it somewhere else, too?
How long did you work on this title?

Thank you! I started a little over a year ago, but took a long break in the middle. About 6 months of work altogether.
I'll eventually share it on itch.io as well!

This is really delightful! So many lovely touches - like taxicomics mentions, hiding in a barrel, or using your eye sockets as inventory slots.

I played the other on the Pico-8 not long ago! I got super into it for a few days, and now I'm doing the same with this ^^
There is some kind of weird bug though, if you start pressing button when the game is transitioning between levels, it get's stuck on a black screen.
