In Ghost Detective's first case, you float around a house, take photographs of evidence and solve a murder.

Be tactical about what you want to know more about, you only have a limited amount of photos. But no pressure – after your first run, you can always go back and find every last crumb of information.

Arrow Keys to move
X to take photos
Z/Y to whistle

v1.2 adds an option to disable screenshake

Well, I haven't tried a second time, but I got 7/9 correct with 64/64 photos.

I really like the idea, but I feel like the specific things to photographs and the specific questions could've been thought through more with the player's perspective in mind. I was never sure what types of info the game wanted me to look for, and a lot of the questions didn't seem to have any fully satisfying answers.

The most unsatisfying one was the question of where the shots came from, to which this would've been my answer based on the prints:

From the path to the gate

Mainly, that one was unsatisfying because it's the one where I was most sure about. The other questions gave me the feeling that I might have missed something, but I was sure where the shots came from just from looking around, before taking any photos.

Also, I couldn't tell what whistling was for.

I think it was still satisfying to play, though, and I would definitely want to play another case if you make one. However, I would prefer an option to turn off screen shaking. I'm not really sure why the screen would shake to begin with in this game.

That is very valid crit and if I'm making a sequel, I'll put more consideration into the narrative structure and the dossier. It's mostly a consequence of programming the game and filling in the mystery as I went.
Whistling is just for fun, there's no practical use. And accessibility is a really good point, I might just patch in a screenshake option.
Cheers for the elaborate feedback and thanks for playing!
