Well, hello everybody. Today I was wondering, Where is the Music?
So, Im making this, because, I didn´t saw music at all, in the BBS.
This is, just, to publish any, ANY music you have made, or music video, or ANYTHING with music you made by yourself.
With this, we all could make a larger music library, in which everyone could contribute, post music, even if it´s good or bad, share it, and get music made by other people, to use it in its own levels, but giving credit to the original creator.
I myself will post the Soundtrack for a level I am making.
NOTE: If there is a post about this already, please let me know, thanks.
Well, that's right, I also accept sounds as well. And, another thing, when you publish your music or sounds, remember to say if you want other people to use it in their own levels, or if is just YOUR music, and you don't want other people to use it.
MilkyTracker is for advanced users, I guess you can still make music with the in-game one. But it will be much better if you learn to use MilkyTracker but it's time consuming and hard to learn for almost no usage.
Why don't you add a feature that let us import .wav or .mp3. It would be nice to play some EDM sometime even if it's a retro-styled game.
Hrm.. I'd like to avoid .wav and .mp3 style formats if I can for several reasons. Mostly to keep the cartridge sizes tiny, and also to encourage community-made music consistent with Voxatron's style. I don't expect everyone to learn Milky Tracker though! I'm almost done with pico-8 music tools which will be available in 0.3.3, and is much easier to use for beginners than Milky Tracker. I'll also be making another batch of music for pico-8 that people can use and modify.
