Whenever i check multihit on a bullet, it does not work, unless i give the bullet 0 damage.
Is there a workaround to this?

Multi-hit, is, I believe when a bullet hit 2 enemy directly ont their hitboxes.

For instance 2 enemy's are close to each other ( their hitboxes are colliding ), you shoot a 3x3x3 bullet between them ( it theorically hit them BOTH ). now what happens there is:

1st: multi-hit is activated, thus hitting them both.

2nd: multi-hit isn't activated, thus hitting randomly one of them.

Multi-hit is supposed to allow a bullet to destroy more than one monster, and have its life depleted by the life of each monster it kills. e.g. a fireball cutting through a field of grass.

Somehow the bullet definition's life field has gone missing in recent versions. I'll make sure it's fixed for 0.2.14. I don't think there's a good work-around for it, so best just come later this week to see if the update is ready!

@blinddevil -- I think that behavior might also happen as a side effect if the numbers are right. e.g. first monsters dies, bullet travels a tiny distance (or no distance) and then hits the other monster.
