Zombulance casts you in the role of an ambulance driver in a city overrun with zombies.
Venture out into the world to locate and transport survivors to safety.
Put survivors to work in upgrading your vehicle with larger capacity, defensive measures, all-terrain capabilities and engine improvements.
Explore between coast, city, and countryside to vacate all remaining humans and save the world, because only when the whole world is dead will healthcare find a way.

This is a de-make of the 2006 Japanese PS2 title "Zombie Vs. Ambulance", which was an entry in the popular Simple2k budget series of the era.

This was developed for the Pioneer Valley Game Developers 2025 PICO-Jam!

Very difficult to drive on mobile, can you add a button to accelerate?

I think it would be more clear which way you're going if the ambulance had a 6-way sprite instead of a 4 way sprite.


At first what a pain to manage the stearing but soon I get used to it, I had such a great time upgrading the ambulance and testing the new bumpers, so good.
And yeah, I agree @qwertyad1 maybe additional sprites with more precise rendering of the ambulance direction would be a good upgrade, good game for me.


The car's handling needs to be improved.


tried and same comment: driving direction is unclear.
if you want to stick to 4 direction then use absolute steering (eg. left goes left, up goes up...)

I didn't have room for multiple directions, including all the upgrade sprites that have to go along with it. Instead, I created a small black indicator that's ~10 pixels in front of the ambulance, and which follows the steering angle precisely. It seems like a good middleground; I hope it makes the game more enjoyable.
