My first (top-down) Pico-8 game!
This is the first alpha release of Mars Rescue, a (hopefully!) challenging top-down action game.
Your mission: find and rescue Martian colonists under attack by hostile alien lifeforms.
Make the colonists follow you to the exit point to complete each level.
So far, 15 levels are available — I plan to create 15 more and fix bugs as they come up.
Creating this game has been a real pleasure and a fun way to discover Pico-8 coding!

Controls
→ ARROWS: Move
→ X: Shoot
→ C: Toggle follow/freeze for nearby colonists
Colonists will follow your marine only if they can see him.
To make the colonists follow your marine, you simply need to make them "see" your hero.
