Hello whoever is reading this! For some time I've wanted to publish one of my pico 8 games to cool math games and one of there requirements is that you have an HTML version of your game and I'm not sure how to do that. I've tried the export cartname.html thing in pico 8 but the files that it exports don't seem to do anything. If someone has any experience putting a pico 8 game on cool math games or another website then I would greatly appreciate some help. Or you can just tell me that I'm stupid for asking this question. Thanks!

'export' is the right command. Can you say more about «the files don’t seem to do anything? Do you load your game first? Can you put the result on some free hosting (itch or neocities for example) and give a link?

@merwok: I guess what I mean by the files don't seem to do anything is that I don't know how to use them. I believe that when you export using the HTML command it exports your game and a javascript player but whenever I try to open my game with the files it won't load the game and instead will show a grey tab.

Opening the HTML file in your browser should work.

If you open the console (F12 in some browsers, or search 'how to open console <browser name>'), do you see error messages in red?

You should also be able to upload the files (HTML and JS) to a web host like I mentioned (then other people would be able to visit the link and see if there are problems). A full guide for itch is here: https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=40036
