My entry for Ludum Dare 39 compo. Theme is "running out of power", so in Cellephant you play a robot elephant who has to collect batteries (aka cells) to keep going and reach the exit. Your current battery charge is shown at the bottom, and that's how many steps you need to take to reach the next battery (fail to reach a battery = die, reach a battery too soon also = you die, because your charging circuit can't handle it or something...)

What a neat puzzle idea! I enjoyed the music, too.

Ah thanks mate! :) The music was a rush job, but came out ok. This is my first finished pico-8 game, I love it.

Loved it - I played until level 40 until I realised that the levels were procedurally generated (which explains why a few were super easy). Some of the levels it generated were really interesting - it gets a lot easier when you realise that even numbers off of a battery bring you to a tile of the same colour, and odd brings you to the opposite. Unfortunately I didn't do this ludum dare - so I can't vote! :(

I enjoyed playing this and the tune, I couldn't figure one out and I bet it's really simple too
