Sorry for the music on the original version...

CREDITS EDIT: Creds for the Gameboy "TV" and the background goes to this post by Mozz

EDIT for newer version:
I commented it out in the fixed version, so if you want to, you can uncomment it and make it better on your own, it's completely OK :-D

Orignal EDIT: Noticed that the music only shuts off if you actually hit the game_over, should fix that soon enough, am quite tired right now though..

Very nice! The controls are a bit awkward though

@Cumred_Snektron Thanks for your feedback.
I've been thinking about that, and I wonder if it's a good idea to change, since you are always going one direction, and can only turn two different directions from there.. But I'll see what I can do.

Having the possibility to use all four (three) directions, if one is used to that, is a good thing I suppose.

EDIT:
I'm sorry, it seems like I won't have time to change it before the jam is over, all my energy is spent after being sick for long.
I'll see what I can do after the jam is over, release a "after jam" version I suppose.

I think you mentioned in the other thread that this was your first jam? grats! great job on getting something running :D

(also yay! gameboy cart :D)

I like the controls! In the past I've played another two buttons version (maybe on the dos).Overall a good replica!

Mozz: I can't remember mentioning that, but it's true. Also my first project with the PICO-8. :-)

Baerius: I went for how I remembered the Nokia 3310 did it, but as Cumred_Snektron talked about four directional controlls, I can't help but think that they allowed both ways (the up and down arrow and then the numpad).

EDIT: I found the post where I mentioned it being my first jam and project. It was in another cart post.
Maybe I should have my memory looked up. :-/

Nice little game! I included it in my compilation video series of the Tiny TV Jam games, if you’d like to take a look :)
