You need to adjust your collision a bit; the hitbox on the bats is a lot lower than their actual visible area.
It´s frustrating but it´s a lot of fun.
In my opinion you have to add some points for the long time motivation and you have to set the highest bat a little bit deeper then it would be a nice endless-runner.
