My first post here! Thanks to everyone who posts here, I have learned so much from you.
This is a little graphics thing I made on the PocketCHIP while trying to get to grips with cellular automata.
Use arrows while holding one of the action buttons to change palettes, display modes, or regenerate a new pattern. Use arrows while holding the other action button to smear the patterns into stripes.
Features:
Memory poke trick to create reflections
Modification of Conway's Game of Life from Pico-8 zine issue 2

WOW ! That is really gorgeous ! You might have hit-a-key to create a new pattern.
Would love to see this with a 256-color palette.

Ooh yes maybe I should rebuild in Processing and see what 256 colours unlocks!

What is Processing, Zoy ? And are you say it is possible to work in PICO with 256-colors ?

Oh no Processing is a whole other thing, so it would mean rewriting from Pico-8 into another format. You couldn't go back after that. It's sort-of associated with Arduino, so it's quite a good little language for newbs like me who want to experiment with a program to draw things on a screen. Stuff made in Processing tends to feel much less playful imo, and it's a much less interesting design space than Pico-8, but it's more flexible.

Oh ... Ratzy ... I was hoping there was some way to get 256-colors in PICO without using that hold-and-modify 60fps method.
Still, please post a link when you've done it. Would love to see it !
