Uttu

Uttu is a small loop-based adventure game where you solve puzzles to learn how to escape.
In Uttu, you use loops to traverse and find your way.
Made for the GMTK Game Jam 2025 in 96 hours, with the theme ‘loop.’.

Have fun, and don't forget to post your final time as a screenshot!

How to Play

Use the left and right arrows to move.
Press (O) to run (Z on keyboard).
Press (X) to interact (X on keyboard).

Hint: It's a loop-based adventure.

Hints

Tutorial

Set the loop count to 1 by going right, then head to the door and press X.

Room 1 (Loop*2+Door)

Set the loop count to 2.

Room 2 (Dog)

Set the loop count to -1.

After getting the bone, talk with the dog.

Room 3

Take the bone and set the loop count to 1 to return to the previous room. There, talk to the dog.

Room 4 (TV)

Enter 44 on the TV. The left and right sides operate separately.

Room 5 (Cat)

Set the loop count to -3.

Go to the beginning of the game (room 1). Run left or right at least 6 times.

Room 6

Go back to the cat and talk to it.

Escaped in 656 :) didn't figure out the cat riddle but got through anyway.

Very cool! I solved room 4, and then got stuck. Nice riddles and vibe.

ok my pb for now is 40s, i'll probs go way lower tho, def messed some loops up

ok i'm getting faster faster than i expected lol, new pb is 32, might go a bit lower

just need to memorize the ammount of loops for every room
