Simple one level scrolling platformer - none of this stuff is serious, just playing with Lua for fun and to share with a couple of friends. Chill people.
cursor keys left/right, x to jump
Seems like the character is "teleported" above rather than jumped.
Edit: it is nearly impossible to get across the second pond. Maybe testplay yourself first?

Through my tries, the jumps in a sense has to be pixel-perfect, right from the position here↓
Still the jump acts a lot wonky tho,
but doesn't matter.
Finally got good then :)
The jump is just an upward force with "gravity" taken away with each tick.
It's just a bit of fun shared for some friends to show what can be knocked up in an hour, as I'm trying to persuade PICO-8 is used in our next hackathon - I'm not trying to write Super Mario World here.
