Hello!

This is a small, narrative game poem about a young girl who is searching for letters from her mother.

I hope that you connect with the story and have fun exploring it's world.

Credit and gratitude to Nerdy Teachers and Lazy Game Devs. I spent a lot of time with their tutorials and they have helped so much! (I used the code for the Nerdy Teachers platformer tutorial as the starting point for this game.)

I've also been incredibly inspired by playing others games in Splore. It's so awesome that a community like this exists.

Thank you for playing!

Thank you for sharing this. My mom passed away unexpectedly in 2017, a few weeks after my birthday. Months later, I was going through her things and found that she'd already picked out my next birthday card and stashed it in the back of her kitchen calendar. She hadn't written anything in it yet, but finding it felt like receiving one last letter from her and I was very sad because I knew I would never receive another. Playing this made me think of that, and reminded me that it's okay because that's part of the cycle of life. Wishing you luck with finishing this and your future projects!

Thank you so much for sharing your story, ridgek. I'm very touched by it.
I never know where game ideas come from, but I think that this one was a reflection of things and people that I've lost, and my own journey to move forward.
I'm glad that this game connected with you, and am encouraged to keep working on it.
