First game on the Pico8, tried remaking an old mobile game I used to play. Took about 3 hours, as a reason to learn the platform. Will update with audio once I work those tools out!

Have added options to change skin, and language from the pause menu. Both settings are persisted.

a very nice game, but when you "overgrow" the bamboo you can get through

@mikolaj Oops! Made the landing platform width variable last minute when I realised there was no challenge in gameplay. Didn't cross my mind to test making the bamboo too long! Updated 😅

Good game to teach spatial distances, @beesboxler. Gold star.

For those having difficulty:


Hold down the button to grow the bamboo. Imagine a perfectly diagonal line reaching the top of the bamboo and touching the platform to the right. When you think you have it, release and you should have reached both the platform and are ready for the next level.

i fell through a one pixel gap @beesboxler might wanna fix that
