Rules

Survive as long as possible by destroying all the asteroids.
But be careful : you can only destroy them when your moon is protecting you.
It's random, so be ready to stop avoiding them for a short amount of time !

@Luap_io - it took me a long time to understand this simple game !! I thought the moon was the white asteroids!!

As I understand it the moon randomly protects you - this is indicated by a rainbow effect around the earth. During this time you can hit the asteroids for points. But this effect wears off after about 1 second. Is the moon protect totally random or predictable ?

If you were thinking of taking this further it may be an idea to allow the player to earn "moon power" which then could allow the player to control when they can smash asteroids. For example, zipping about the screen could build up "moon power". Once a certain amount is reached, the player can choose when to activate it. This gives the player more of a feeling of being in control. personally it feels a bit too random at the minute.

Its a good little game and the earth graphics are nice.

I had a few ideas like that yeah : spawning some power-ups randomly, unlocking a one time button, launching rockets from the earth...

My original concept was to not give any control to the player ^^
But yup, so many possibilities that could change/improve this game.
I also just did that to learn Pico-8 as it was my first game on it !

would be good for shield to not be random but based on, say, close call with other moons, or time idle .. anything that player would be in control of (e.g better risk/reward management)
