Playable first demo of my demake of the "Mantle" minigame from Deltarune Chapter 3. It's not even close to finished, but since I recently worked out enemy spawners, I figure now would be a good time to put something out for others to play. You can die, and there's a room where once you've reached it you'll know you've finished the demo. That's all for now.

Nice! Seems like a lot of people, myself included, had this idea for a demake when we first played deltarune, good to see a realized version.
Are you going to try ann port the full kris/enemy sprites from the subgame? I think it would look quite good and lends itself to a full creation of the mode, as if pico8 is what they were playing on in Deltarune, but you've done a good job with the 8x8 versions too. Either way, interested to see where this goes!
I think the official sprites would be a tad too big to work well on Pico-8. Picotron might be able to handle them but I don’t have that and I’ve already done a lot of work on this demake as is so I’m just gonna stick with 8x8

didnt get to edit any enemy code yet but its pretty much all there map-wise, still alot to do ofc but let me know about any inaccuracies!
i tried to make a mantle demake too lol, but i havent even gotten past the tech demo phase ;U;
this is peak though, if you keep working on this it would be awesome!
zee_scott, this is awesome! It is a little hard to tell the difference between trees and bushes but the sprite work is otherwise really good, and I appreciate that you implemented the stairs warp to get the sword! Actually having the ice key be at the end is really nice too lol. I’ll keep working on my version, but feel free to take any upstream code you need from my future demos for your fork!
sorry for the late reply but thanks! i mostly tried to sorta finish things up a bit to try it out on a couple consoles i own which have fake-08 lol, i'll absolutely try to update it more once more demos from you get released!
