Controls

How to play

Survive for 100 seconds to win!

It might be fun to go in blind and figure out how the game works yourself, but if you'd rather not here's how everything works:

====== Hr. B ======

You play as Hr. B. He is vulnerable when slow, but if fast enough he can damage enemies by ramming into them. He will glow when he has reached that critical speed.

====== Bats ======

Simple creatures that chase you.

====== Snails ======

Though harmless and sluggish, these snails will slow you down on contact allowing other enemies to get the jump on you!

====== Fast Guys ======

These fellas remind me of you! When slow they are harmless and vulnerable, but they will deal damage when glowing from speed. If you ram into each other, you will parry and reflect off each other.

====== Armor Guys ======

These walking furnaces are highly dangerous. Even when fast it is ill-advised to charge into them. They may have to cool off occasionally though giving you a chance to strike!

====== Cookie Jar ======

Hr. B's cookie jar will appear every 50 seconds. It powers you up for a brief period, giving you immense acceleration and making you stronger! In multiplayer, it instead brings your partner back to life! What else can it do?

====== Waves ======

Every now and then a wave may occur. These are periods where lots of the same enemies will spawn. Sometimes the warning before the wave may hint at what enemy type it is.

====== Fru G ======

Do you hear that? (SLAM!) Ouch!! It's your cheeky wife, Fru G! You two should play together and see how far you can make it! ...or how about a friendly duel?

Pro-tips!

  • You move faster diagonally.
  • Enemies can't spawn at the bottom of the screen.
  • Cookie jars can sometimes make you fast enough to kill fast guys and armor guys when they would otherwise be invulnerable. (Fig. 1)
  • If you are heading towards danger, it might be hard to steer away from it in time, so remember your brakes (Z)! This is especially true if you're headed towards an active armor guy. (Fig. 2)

What does 'Hr. B' mean?

'Hr.' means 'Mr.' in Danish and is pronounced "hair".
You can call him 'Mr. B' if you prefer (´・ω・`)
'B' is because he is a blue bouncy ball boy ♪(´▽`)
'Fru' means 'Mrs.' in Danish and 'G' is because 'gul' means yellow in Danish :)

2025-jan-19: 1.0.0 Game released
2025-jan-22: 1.0.1 'Delete hiscore' in pause menu added. Prompts to confirm before working.
2025-mar-9: 1.1.0 'Quit Game' replaced with 'Credits', unlocked after beating the game.
2025-may-30: 1.1.1 'Retry' in pause menu added. Hiscore is now displayed in pause menu. Music can now be toggled off and on in pause menu (while sfx are still audible). btnp() now utilized in the menus because i just realized its a thing. (Previously btn() with a menu_cooldown variable was used)
2025-jun-05: 1.2.0 HUGE UPDATE: 3 new modes added: 1p Sandbox, 2p Coop, 2p Versus. In sandbox, you can use 2p controls to spawn enemies, cookie jars or hold down Q to give yourself iframes for twice as long as you hold it down. 2p has been added with a new music track and the new character, Fru G. Enemies will follow the closest living player. In 2p Coop Fru G & Hr. B only have 1 life each and must see how far they make it together. Cookie jars will revive dead players or clear the screen. A 2p hiscore seperate from the 1p one has been added and can also be used to 'win' the game and unlock the credits. The credits differ slightly if unlocked this way. In 2p Versus both players have 3 lives and must attempt to uhhh kill each other :3 unlike Coop, players can hurt each other by ramming into each other and the cookie jar spawns twice as often. Cookie jars in versus will make the enemies target the other player exclusively. There has been added an extra level of scaling to enemy spawns, so now every 15 seconds, enemies spawn 1 frame more frequently than usual. To visualize here's what that means for the spawn rates at certain timer thresholds: 0 - 1x, 90 - 1.1x, 300 - 1.5x, 450 - 2x, 600 - 3x, 885+ - 60x (every frame). There can now be multiple cookie jars on screen, and eating multiple in a row will now stack the time powered up (Although your metabolism will be slightly higher if you eat multiple). Hr. B is now more centered in singleplayer mode when spawning or getting teleported to the middle. Dynamic music system has been improved and should now work correctly more often. 'Retry' in the pause menu now only appears while in a game. This will be the last content update to the game. thanks for playing :3

This is so cool!!!I love the art, the way Hr. B gets scared when he's on his last life, the variety of enemies(not just by sprite). I still haven't seen the cookie yet cause I can only get up till like 35sec

This is neat! Good main mechanic with some enemy variety and strategy. My best after a while is 50 seconds, I might come back and try to best myself soon!
