Saying a word, its spelling, and its meaning aloud allows your child to become comfortable with its particular pronunciation and sounds. Associating sounds with body movements can make some terms much easier to remember. Even the tone you use can denote meaning; for example, if the word is "morose," and you instruct and quiz your student using a writing service online, you have provided another path for memorization. Your child can then apply the sound and inflection of the word to its meaning.
Call out words and have your student spell them aloud. Incorporate spelling words into your daily conversations. Have your child quiz you, making sure he or she corrects any misuses or incorrect spellings.
