Hey. I'm currently trying to make a basic RTS inside of pico 8 but my knowledge of how the mouse input works is a bit lacking. The first thing I tried doing was making it so that when you put the mouse close to the edge of the screen, the camera would pan that direction on the map. The only issue is that the mouse x and y coordinates aren't relative to the camera, and so the boundaries would get left behind as the camera pans away. Another thing I'm stuck on is figuring out how to tell if the mouse is over or clicking on a certain sprite.

Hey everyone, I have a 3d printer now. I'm currently one step closer to being able to release a final product to the public now that I can actually manufacture the console myself, I still have a bit of work to do on the cartridge system but that's for a later update. Anyways I'll be posting print pictures in a couple days (assuming I have time to put this thing together). Side tangent here, I am so incredibly happy that I finally got my own 3d printer. I've been wanting one for 3 years and now that it is currently sitting right next to me its such a surreal moment.

it took a while but I finally got a print of the console from my last post (with some small changes) Now I just need to adjust USB and HDMI ports to fit the raspberry pi better. After that I will probably work on figuring out how to make the physical carts work, along with the power button. After that I should be done but who knows how long all of that will take.

(Sorry for the sideways pictures)

Hi there, I was recently getting into PICO 8 and was reading through the picozine to learn how to make games on PICO 8 when I came across the render of a theorized PICO 8 console that was acting as a page break. I instantly got inspired to 3D model that design and put a raspberry pi with PICO 8 on it inside. At first thought to just make this for myself but I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in buying one (with the permission of the creator of the render since it is modeled after it and permission from Zep since it is his program) I most likely wont be finished any time soon since I got carried away with a lot of ideas I had while making it. I just want to get peoples opinion on whether or not I should sell some online.
edit I will try to post images Monday since the file is currently on my school computer and I don't have the money to pay for my own solid-works licence
