Love the pixel art of the characters.
Also, since I am making something other than using pico, I can use this game as idle game while doing the other stuff.
Some char need balance though, I remember having over 100 turns and that battle not finished yet. Perhaps something else to end the battle like 100 turns only and decided the winner based on point or something.
I really dig this concept...but similar to the other feedback, in current state it's a little slow. The pay off isn't immediate enough. Presentation is top notch, however.
I'd love to see this expanded into a Half-Minute Hero type of game where the battle is automatic but fast. Maybe some chances to get upgrades, etc for characters and such. Minimal user input but that input has major impact on the upcoming battles.
You could keep the tournament concept and just have it be different tournaments en route to a final champion. Like "Game of Death" or something.
This title might be the inspiration I need to make one myself ;P
So I managed to win using these chars combination:
- Niuna, good for double attack, which when 1st chance to attack miss, there is always 2nd chance.
- Nextzisedai, useful for Powerful Care which heals quite amount of HP, but has some chance to miss.
- Alarm, good on big damage tech with the price of her own HP.
Nextzisedai healing technique is useful to keep recovering Alarm to keep her using her high damage technique. Not invicible team, but I managed to defeat a lot of teams using this combination. Need to watch out of sealing technique char combined with high damage chars.
About the battle, maybe a defense reduction each 20 turns or something. I mean when Fenia vs Fithia solo happens, it will be a very slow battle especially they do very low damage. Additionally, they both capable to revive. Not sure if Fithia can do it multiple times though while Fenia is capable to do that, but it still a very slow battle and took over 100 turns just to wait it happens.
