Hi!
Just sharing my first Pico8 game. It's a Tetris inspired by Twintris on Amiga, and it's all about smooth movements. I believe it could be considered the smoothest of them all :).
It doesn't follow all the original Tetris rules since there are already a lot of clones out there doing a good job.

Controls:

Player 1:

  • ⬅️,⬇️,➡️ move the piece
  • ❎,🅾️ rotate the piece
  • ⬆️ hard drops the piece
    Player 2:
  • S,F,D move the piece
  • TAB or Q, LSHIFT rotate the piece
  • E hard drops the piece

  • 2 Players PvP mode!
  • Gfx improvements:
  • Persistent data: menu settings, highscore
  • Bug fixes
    • Fixed an issue with displaying next pieces
    • Fixed "rotate on start" issue
    • Fixed an issue that prevented pieces from rotating in a few situations

Thia is pretty good looking, but I do have two little complaints: one is that the pieces move too slowly left to right, and two is that they lock in to place at the bottom too fast to do much sliding


Hey, thanks for the feedback! I'm still playing around with the variables. I agree with your points, let me try to fix those.

I truly love it. I'm running it on a raspberry pi zero w2 and Logitech usb game pad (pico8 launched from raw console). The flow and responsiveness is beautiful. If I was to make a tiny suggestion make
the background grid a bit darker if possible. Or make it an option? Again congratulations


Thanks, MadeInNL! I was a bit torn about the color of the grid but, unfortunately, there are not many other colors available :). Having a menu option is a good idea! I'll add it to the next version. Thanks again!
