Rural Rampage - Update 1:
Made a lot of progress since last night! Added a win state, another level (the bridge), and semi trucks!
Known bugs:
- After a game over or win, the first car to spawn behind the player (in the right lane) is invisible, but does not hurt the player. Low priority, but will fix.
- Level transitions look a little rough still, gotta play around with those.
- Semi-truck collision just uses the standard hit boxes. This works fine enough for oncoming semis, but not the right lane semis, as you can drive through the trailer.
- Want to deduct the timer from final score, having problems only doing it one time and not every frame. Will spend more time with this.
- The road lines will sometimes spawn too close together because of being tied to the player speed, and moving when off screen. Gotta find a more consistent way to respawn the lines once they leave the screen.

This is my first Pico 8 game, Rural Rampage! You are a delivery worker collecting packages on their route back into the city from DEEP in rural America. This is very much a "work in progress" (it will crash after 25 packages), but I'm proud of the progress I've made so far. I managed to make the map drawn on the fly, rather than using the map tool for the backgrounds. I was also able to include trees, cacti, grass and rocks that move along the edges at the player speed, giving the simulation of movement (haha, the truck itself doesn't move). It's far from perfect and far from done, but I'm stoked to be joining a great community of talented devs.
