Intro, Sonic by Denatus
Remake and demake of my old 64kb PC intro. The original 64kb PC intro placed 3rd at "Remedy Party 95" which took place in Solnahallen Stockholm Sweden 1995.
- Code by Denatus
- Graphics by Denatus
- Music originally by Silke but remade in Pico-8 by Denatus
@rnd yes! Right, I should have linked to it in the original post.
The dots part is hard to capture and in hindsight 26 years later I should probably had a bigger contrast between background and dots or made them bigger. They where kind of hard to see even on the big screen at the demo party. There are of course some part I would have liked to be better in the original but time ran out and I had to turn in the intro before the deadline.
Originally developed with Microsoft Edit and Borland turbo assembler on a 486 66 Mhz. Some custom scripts and tools made in Borland Pascal and Microsoft Basic to create include files for precalulated tables. Graphics painfully drawn in Deluxe Paint. Music was made by a friend in Reality Adlib Tracker and I used their player code in the intro.
Made a new capture that hopefully is a bit more clear.
The intro is written in 16-bit code and won't run on modern 64-bit OS. It runs fine in DOSBox if you give it enough CPU-cycles.
