First PICO-8 game! High five strangers to get them to join your parade

You are now being scouted by the Pico-8 Destroyer League. Be on your best behavior, and you may have a chance.



Nice twist on the classic game. The very first time I played I got stuck at the top of the screen and took an embarrassingly long time to work out how to turn.

I got better after that.

I'm a little puzzled about what ends the game.

Intersecting with myself is bad, every time.

But sometimes I can slide along the wall, and sometimes that too ends the game. In the screenshot below I'm travelling left. I slid along the right and top walls, but the left wall was too much. Do I survive if the angle with the wall is shallow enough that I never intersect with the second person, and end if the angle is so steep that I count as being on the same spot as them?

Yeah, that’s pretty much right. The idea is that you can brush against the wall as long as it doesn’t cause the people in the parade to trample over each other, but I agree that it’s not super clear. Thanks for playing!
