Following cold on the heels of my earlier Quick 'n' Dirty Galaxy Generator, here's another little toy cart that'll ultimately be part of a larger effort. Right now it's a pretty basic dice-based endless space battler. You control the ship on the left, the computer controls the ship on the right. Blow each other up using the power of six-sided die!

There's a laundry list of to-dos here, including making the weapons modules a bit more balanced–right now it's kinda all-or-nothing for how useful a module is in a fight. As with the QnD Galaxy Generator, the intent here is to deterministically generate a vast array of different ships from a single seed, allowing for ultra-compact save files.

Controls:
arrows: move cursor
X: action
Z/O: swap out your ship for a new one (on your turn)

choosing how to organize your random dice into a turn is a really fun concept

Thanks! It's very, very heavily inspired by Dicey Dungeons by the esteemed Terry Cavanagh.

Love where this is going, I like the damaging mechanics and would love a way to heal... I wonder if you could swap out some ship weapons for ones that can heal yourself or add some shield that you have lost. Multi-dice attacks are very satisfying when they deal a ton of damage at once. I found this really crazy weapon that can do 37 damage, I think. The ship design was a bit iffy (Mostly because it reminded me of among us...) I'm not really sure, the details of the ship just look too little like parts of a ship, but that's just my opinion. Cobalt Core has a pretty good ship design, but that's also because it has higher resolution. The dice designs were cool and I liked the different criteria for the weapons. Great combat system and I can't wait to see where this game goes!

Thanks, @Waterwool! Yeah, I have a whole raft of things I want to do with this, including heal modules, better ship designs, and a lot better balance on the weapons. (As much as I love me some grossly OP weapons, it takes some of the fun out of the game!)

Love where this is going. Also, I'd like to vote in favor of the ships' designs. They feel like 'living ships' in a way. They remind me of Opa Opa from Fantasy Zone (an OG favorite).

Edit: I noticed the player can play their turn, then hit O to switch ships and play again, and do this indefintely.
