Hello everyone, i'm french.
I am new to game development and here are my first steps with this little game that I will continue to improve to experiment while having fun.

Rev 1:
Added invisible walls for the player
Added smoke from player reactors
Added scraps when an opponent explodes

I have a suggestion: add splash damage to make it a little bit easier (I’m not saying that I found it hard, it’s just an idea) Oh, and add invisible walls so that you can’t go offscreen

Invisible walls have been added.
Rather than adding splash damage i want to try to make the explosions knock enemies back, i think it can be fun.

This is a very sparkly game. I really like the particles. I have two suggestions:

1) I think it would look really nice if the rocket echaust came out colorful and faded as it got farther from the ship. Alternatively, maybe just occasional sparkles in the exhaust to indicate some sort of activity, like atoms bumping into each other and giving off light.
2) I thnk it would add a little bit of depth to make kills worth more the closer they are to the bottom of the screen. Right now, there's no incentive to endanger yourself by going after ships that have gotten past you. Maybe have the ships disappear after they go off the bottom of the screen, rather than recycling them, but reward the player for taking risks by going after ships before they can drift off the screen.
