Vingals is a mod of Fingals by Kamera (a mod of Celeste 2 by EXOK Games) that replaces Elaina's Spelunking Hook with a vertical one.
This mod is quite difficult and I highly recommend you play Fingals if you haven't already: https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=43065
Changes (not including those made in Fingals):
- Grappling hook only works vertically
- You can only pick up an item if you are in the air
- Crumble blocks will break when you push against them
- Grapple cooldown lowered from 6 to 5
- A few checkpoints added to make pogoing sections slightly more bearable o_O
- Title screen???

HOLY HELL THIS MOD WAS A NIGHTMARE TO COMPLETE
But I finally did it...
Some important points I recommend reading:
- There are a few tricks you'll need to know and learn to master if you want to beat this mod, otherwise from what I can tell, it'll literally be impossible to beat
1.1. The first trick is knowing how to grapple jump from the floor. In case you didn't know, if you're in the air and grapple down, you'll be pulled VERY quickly to the floor. However, if you press the jump button before hitting the ground you can basically jump in mid-air. You NEED to know how to do this for some of the levels, as there are instances where you can't grapple up due to there being no blocks or ice blocks. It's a hard trick to do since you get pulled down very fast, especially since you'll have to do it consecutively again and again one after another.
This trick is mainly for getting through areas with spikes on the floor and nowhere to grapple up.
1.2. The second trick is knowing how to cancel your grapple. It's very similar to the first trick, except you grapple up instead. However, again, you get pulled up very quickly and you have to jump IMMEDIATELY after your grapple connects to the ceiling so that you can jump as low as possible, otherwise you'll either miss it or hit the ceiling, which is the whole point to avoid.
This trick is mainly used to rooms with tight spaces with spikes both on the floor and the ceiling, which makes getting through tight spaces much easier.
1.3 This is the hardest one in my opinion. If you look at my time, a third of that was because I was trying to do this trick on one specific level. This trick is mid-air spring jump. This trick is only used on one specific level. In that level, you grab the spring and lightly drop it in the pit. Immediately fall after the spring, and if you did it right, you should be ahead of the spring. Once you're past the ice, shoot your grappling hook DOWN to stop mid-air and let the spring catch up to you. Finally, bounce on the spring and onto the safe ground and you're good to go.
If this at all sounds simple, it's not. This is all supposed to happen very, very fast, and even if you get it, you might miss the platform and have to do it again.
I don't think it's possible to 100% this, but I'm not about to play again to check
- @Calverin I'm sad
I'm sorry that you're sad @Catastrphic Cal, but congrats on beating the mod! Nice outline on the tricks there, I'm sure that it will be really helpful. Also, Shadet did 100% this mod in 45:49 https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/840299135496486982/847497086673223690/unknown.png
I find it kinda funny that my time and deaths for this 100% run is better than my first run, but then again, this time I knew how to do all the tricks
Well, anyway, @Calverin I definitely wouldn't have tried this had you not said that it was indeed possible, and this was a really good challenge and I had fun. I'm not sad unlike last time, but glad I managed to do this so well
