Hey, for some reason when I try to play this game natively on a handheld it loads infinitely after choosing a ship. Does anyone know why this is or have a solution? Works on PC and phone.
Edit: just read some of the comments about using wifi first. Unfortunately my device does not have wifi :/

@Icaarus I have the same problem here. I've installed PICO-8 (natively) in my R36S, downloaded the .png file, put it in the carts folder and the game doesn't go beyond the ship choice. It shows a rounding cart as if the game was loading, but it stays like that forever.
Does anyone know if this is a multicart game?
