Nice little game!
Just the other day i thought about making a similar game as my first PICO-8 project.
I tried doing it with bB for the Atari 2600 years ago but never got far:

The funny thing is that your version with straight chimneys would be easier to do on the Atari 2600 while my 2600 version would be easier to do with PICO-8. :D
