Good good day everyone. It's been two days since I've been working on my Dark Forest campaign, and its finally done and ready for a final release. I started out with 5 levels, expanded to 11, and now 13. The Dark Forest experience is one never to forget.

If you're looking for a very hard challenge, look no further! Below is my previous v2 post, plus the changelog, updated for final release! I really hope that I can get some comments and feedback. Thank you all for playing!

(I'm currently working on a new level called: The Dark Catacombs. Expect an early version either today or early tomorrow!)


Good day! After a nice release yesterday, I'm back with tons of new content plus tweaks to existing levels based on user feedback! Read the changelog to checkout the tons of new stuff! Here is my original post + tweaks:

Good day all, I completely a nice little 13 level adventure.

The Dark Forest is very hard. Multiple enemies set on timers will attack you, posing a different threat on each stage.

The Dark Forest:
Here you must confront the guardians blocking the entrance to the lava valley.

Dark Lava Pit:
Watch your step as you must jump from platform to platform as you are under fire from relentless enemies.

Dark Mushroom Field:
The guardians of the field await you as giant mushrooms spout enemies.

Dark Canyon:
You must defeat the guardians at the door to gain access to the fortress.

Dark Fortress:
Your last encounter with relentless enemies.

Changelog:
v1:
Initial Release

v2:
Fixed a bug that allowed you to skip stage 1
Added health kit at the start of stage 2
Added health kits to stage 3
Tweaked difficulty of stage 3
Changed the number of huge enemies in level 1 from 3 to 2
Added 2-3 health kits at the beginning of most levels to balance the difficulty
Fixed a ton of bugs with doors not appearing correctly

Added 6 new levels! The Dark Temple section!

v3 (Final):

Third and hopefully final release:
Fixed a bug on the last level which would endlessly redo the level, the game correctly ends now
Made 'Dark Dungeon' level slightly more difficult.
Fixed a few bugs on some levels with out of place blocks

Added 2 new levels to the Dark Temple section of the game, for a total of 13 levels in all:
-The Dark Dojo
-Sword Master's Room


Known bugs:
None for the moment!

Pretty cool. Lots of simple black structures, but the Voxatron engine makes it all look beautiful even without complicated patterns.

Generally fun level - but the "squid" teleporter at the end of the last level kept disappearing a second or two after it spawned. Had to play through that room a number of times to finish it!

Do you mean the teleporter at the end of the 4th level? It disappear on purpose at the beginning of the level. And thats not the last level! Far from it. Theres 7 more after that one.

Nope. The colorful floaty thing that you touch to complete your entire level set - the one that you touch and it brings up the level complete screen. That one kept disappearing.
