Went down a couple different paths, ended up with this (non-unique) idea of splitting up the alphabet into 4 parts, allowing for any letter in 3 or less dpad entries. </p> <p>This is a prototype. Not sure how I'd want to allow for other punctuation, or numbers or even &quot;done-ness&quot; of entry.
