This is just me proving I'm somewhat alive.
I don't really know what to do.
Here is something.
Added two new box types.
Lowered green box and red box split effects.
Quality of life improvements.
Fix a bug on highscore section on game over screen.
Fix collision bug.
Fixed a bug on the highscore screen where pressing up on "B" would jump to ":house:" instead of "A".
Arrow keys to move large yellow cube.
Try to collect the bouncing cubes!
NOTE: You must surround the bouncing ones to collect them. It'd be too simple if it were just a mere touch!
Corrected a comment in the code...
This is a little project I made in an afternoon.
It's a music player.
It plays music.
It is a bit special in that metadata like the name of songs, and their starting pattern can be coded into the gfx sector of the cart (in other words: you can program metadata in with colors!), but other than that, it's just a music player.
But checkout the gfx sector of this cart, it'll blow your mind!
This new version comes with a reduction to two rooms, but makes a certain mechanic really important.
No, there isn't just 1 room, but two. -w- Progress.
There was a huge code cleanup and minification, so we have that going for this version. And the auto generated is back and improved!
Me and my brother are coming up with a successor of "I Fell", featuring better mechanics, better movement, and hopefully better art and music. I had fun making "I Fell", so I thought, "why not?" This is the result.
Controls are exactly the same as "I Fell": Arrow keys to move.
Below is a secret from "I Fell" that will be improved upon, and made necessary in this game:
I hope you will enjoy "My Descent".
Forgot the instructions: Move around with the arrow keys.
Anyways, the cart is finished, at least I have declared it so. It is not perfect, but it was a nice stretch into what PICO-8 could do.
I enjoyed making this, and I hope you do, too.
My first cartridge. I was trying to learn the basics of PICO-8 (I literally got it yesterday), and this is want I ended up with. It is nowhere near finished (ignore that 1 in the version). The heaviest inspirations seem to be FNAF and Yume Nikki.
