Play PICO-8 like an instrument

So I made a small PICO-8 instrument to play around with.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

  • Play PICO-8's full range of 64 notes accross 5 octaves
  • Play all major, minor and diminished chords
  • No mouse and keyboard required

-- Only fully functional with native PICO-8, not emulated --

Hello, I‘m trying to play different single tones when pressing different d-pad buttons, e.g. play C2 with “up”, D2 with “right” and so on. With this I want to create something like an instrument. In my first prototype I use the control code “\a” for this. On native PICO-8 it’s working great. But it doesn’t work when emulating the cart with something like RetroArch on a small handheld.

Is there a good alternative to “\a” that also works with emulation?

Let It Snow

It's Christmas and Santa is taking off for his flight. But something is wrong with the sleigh and the gifts start falling from the sky. Fortunately, you're there as a little elf to catch them.

Use ⬅️ and ➡️ to move the elf.
Try to catch as much gifts as possible to set a new highscore.
