X to accelerate -- try to stay on the ground to maintain speed!

This is a 1022 byte cartridge made for the pico-1k jam, but while I was commenting it I found a bunch of unused junk, so now it is 999 bytes compressed :) (see the code in tab 1, minified by @thisismypassword's excellent Shrinko8 )

I got 52.98 by going on top of the mountains c:

@FlowingLily hey! i got 50.98 using the same trick!

@Ummmm_ok I got 050:65 with the same method.

EDIT: now i got 50:52
EDIT2: 50:15

by going off the mountains and to the distance i was able to get to the far lands.

unfortunately, the best way to get the best time is to go out of bounds, bypassing the actual game
