concerning sfx, the manual says:

Each SFX also has these properties:

        A play speed (SPD) : the number of 'ticks' to play each note for.
            // This means that 1 is fastest, 3 is 3x as slow, etc.

to compute a tempo, is there anybody who knows the frequency of these ticks?

1 tick is 183 samples long at 22050 Hz! It's just under 1/120 second, if you want to approximate it.
