this is a breakout clone i made.

This is really well made. However, it might be more fun if the ball and paddle are faster. This would make the game feel more difficult.

Ball feels like it is constantly losing momentum, to a point where it simply takes way too long to be enjoyable for me.

I am looking for a classic Atari Breakout clone (not Arkanoid with power ups...) and yours seems like the closest thing I could find. I encourage you to finish the project, just add progressive ball speed, a lives system and a score system and this will go into my personal Pico-8 Hall of Fame
