Mega Tanks is a Scorched Earth clone for Pico-8, featuring random, deformable terrain generation, rubbish sound effects and turn-based play for 2-4 players.
Controls:
Z to shoot, hold down for increased power.
X to bring up the weapon selection, although right now all weapons are the same.
Left and right to move
Up to use your jets
*Down to move your aiming reticle.
The direction of rotation of the reticle is reversed every time you release the key, to stop players having to wait a whole cycle if they miss the angle they want slightly.

This is naturally unfinished but is mechanically complete. I intend to add more weapons over time :)

Small update: shells now collide with tanks :)

This is looking really good!

I love this game!
Is the idea of having " infinite " fuel for the jet intended? having something to move is a nice addition to the original game, but, for me, moving too much threat the game's logic.
Also , it seems that the bullet passes your tank if you try to hit yourself.

Sorry if i bothered you and you didn't want my comments, i wrote them only because i love scorched earth and your game is nearly perfect!

Great work! :D

Scorched Earth (AKA Scorched Tanks on Commodore Amiga) is one of my favourite games.

@Baerius I had been having trouble with collision but had a think overnight and I've now fixed shots hitting tanks, so that should work now.
In terms of the jets being unlimited, Scorched Earth isn't my only influence on this and I was keen to have some kind of movement options akin to worms, which is why you can move around a lot easier.

Ok, i understand that!( I play worms too :) )
