patch 1.1 - fixed some embarrassing small first day bugs

patch 1.2 - made it so the game switches to picotron palette equivalent colors when losing focus, and cards are all dealt instantly when starting the game if "start unfocused" is enabled in the settings for use in the tooltray

patch 1.2.1 - fixed some embarrassing bugs. sorry guys

patch 1.2.2 - i found more even more embarrassing bugs. also the window size fits better with 64x64 widgets now

patch 1.2.3 - MOAR BUGS!!! thanks to soupster for pointing most of these out to me, shadows now dissapear correctly when the game is unfocused, the menu will draw correctly when unfocused (useful for lining tiny solitaire up with your other widgets) colors 16 and 17 now use the picotron palette so your wallpaper wont get messed up, and i also removed pressing middle mouse to reset the game (leftover from development lol)

patch 1.2.4 - uploading my latest version with a secret free money function that sets your money to 999 for pressing "+" (no shift) for lazy people (me) and a secret easter egg

patch 1.3 - a couple bug fixes plus graphical changes to the cards (pseudo-3d 1-pixel thickness!!!)

patch 1.3.1 - fixed bugs i introduced with the last update making the cards thicc lol

welcome to tiny solitaire! i wanted to make a little solitaire game for my tooltray (emphasis on little) so i could just play solitaire whenever wanted to take a break from coding. it only uses 64x64 pixels to take up as little space as possible but you can use 1x, 2x, or 3x window size scaling if you like, changed in the options menu

cpu usage never goes above 30%, and it unfocuses to use 0 cpu when you arent playing. the win effects however are the exception, they have some small cpu spikes that are not noticable when playing but are definitely there on a graph so dont worry if you see your cpu monitor going crazy for a frame when you win lol

you can click on cards to grab them, and hold the mouse button to drag them around. which cards you can grab and where you can place them varies depending on the game youre playing, but if the card the mouse is over is valid to be grabbed/placed on, it will become highlighted and glow a brighter color.

the objective of each game is different, but most are based on regular klondike, so usually the goal is to build four stacks going upwards from ace to king in each suit of the deck of cards. for games that are not based on building four stacks of each suit, the objective will be to discard every card on each tableau pile

by default, tiny solitaire will automatically detect when a win is possible and move all cards to the foundations for you (this can be disabled in the settings)

i want to explain the card values in my font because its so tiny (3x3 lol) and can take some getting used to. from left to right im sure you can tell the order goes ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, jack, queen, and king. yes the T is for ten lol im sorry but theres no way to fit a "10" in 3x3 pixels

you can change the font used on cards to a bigger one in the settings menu if you dont like this

tiny solitaire features an undo/replay button for your gaming convenience. after making a move, you can click the undo button to undo it. this can be used for trying alternate strategies if you get stuck, or checking which move you truly want to make based on its outcome when you have multiple options

if you win, the undo button will say "RPLY", and if you click it, a fast superhot-style replay of your last game will be simulated once the cards finish shuffling

tiny solitaire offers twelve different variants of solitaire/patience sorting games!

their rules are all the official rules you can find online, to the strictest detail (so most regular klondike-based non-ez modes have a very low winrate and are actually pretty challenging). because of this, i included an easy version of each of these hard games, which remove most restrictions of the mode. this reduces them to nothing but the core mechanics that make them different from regular (klondike) solitaire

i should mention that my versions of spider are spider 1 deck 2 suit (for spider regular) and spider 1 deck 1 suit (for spider ez), and they each use 8 tableaus instead of the traditional 10 because i couldnt fit 10 tableaus on screen with a 64x64 resolution. for the same reason of screen space, my game includes a game called snowcap instead of tripeaks (sorry tripeaks fans)

snowcap and roly poly are games i came up with. theyre meant to be different (not necessarily harder or easier) versions of golf and pyramid solitaire respectively, with only the dealing pattern and amount of deck refills allowed changed. this is because i wanted to be able to play golf with the cards in a triangle similar to tripeaks, and play pyramid with the cards in a rectangle similar to golf but with pyramid rules

the shop is a major part of tiny solitaire, presenting a wide variety of games to enjoy and cosmetics to customize your solitaire experience. we currently offer 12 games, 8 card back designs, 8 cursors, 8 custom palettes, 8 creatures, and 6 win effects for you to enjoy. you can earn coins for use in the shop by scoring cards, with 2 coins awarded per card scored in regular games and 1 per card in easy games (golf, snowcap, pyramid, and roly poly are considered easy games)

tiny solitaire tracks a wide variety of statistics (overall and by game) so you can know the details of your solitaire journey - lowest time to win, lowest moves to win, time played, games played, games won, moves made, cards dealt, cards placed, cards scored, cards drawn from stock, cards flipped, and cards shifted

the amount of time and number of moves it took to win is also displayed when you win, alongside your personal bests for whichever game you won in each of those stats

there are also a few options available to adjust in the settings menu - default game, window size, music volume, sfx volume, reset disabled songs, reset default songs, enable/disable start unfocused (for use in the tooltray), enable/disable big card font, disable/enable autowin, and disable/enable particles

you can also reread the how to play explanation that is displayed the first time you open tiny solitaire by clicking the "?" at the top right of the options menu to the right of "how to play"

the sweet ass track that plays during the dance party win effect is made by paraKOOPA!!! they just gave me permission to use it, which i am very grateful for because my game wouldnt be half as cool without it

his page

all the other music besides the dance party song are from some random midi websites, converted with the incredible miditron midi to sfx conversion tool by raulboo. i just made the instruments used in each song unique and fancy

thank you papa xietanu, tiny solitaire is 100% strawberry sourced <3

critters are a great and cozy idea. so is the 3x3 font, the readability of which imho is fine when applied to something common and repeated like playing cards. I will recommend this to the solitaire sickos I know.
