I'm hoping to get some feedback on this.
This is not a game though it is the beginnings of what may, or may
not, become a roller coaster building game inspired by roller coaster
typcoon and similar. Right now it's just a very minimal prototype of the
track building. No art, no physics, only flat/2D at the moment though
ultimately will be 3D isometric.
Specifically I'm looking for feedback on how it feels to build a
track. There are 2 different control schemes which you can switch
between from the pause menu. The second has some additional settings
you can play around with.
- Do the controls make sense?
- Which control scheme/settings feel best?
- Do you want to be able to edit/move already place control points?
- Do you want to be able to insert new control points between existing
ones or is just appending new ones to the end good enough? - Do the gray sections provide enough feedback to help you build the shapes you want?
- Any other comments, suggestions, stuff I haven't thought about are welcome.
There are probably bugs and a few ways to get a track into a
completely broken state which I'm not checking for at all. It's just a
prototype so I'm not terribly concerned about those things at this stage.
Thanks!
