I don't exactly know why, but I just kind of have a gut feeling that it is, based on my time spent here. I've seen quite a lot of things related to funny animals, heck, even the carts have them as well. But maybe I'm just seeing it from the wrong perspective.

If by "furry" you mean the positive - the cute and small - then yes a great number of Pico-8 games are that. The resolution is small, the code cannot be too big, you can only use 16-colors, cannot change them easily, and even the audio can be pretty tinny at times.

Clearly there are a lot of animal lovers coding in Pico-8. I think it's fine. :)

I think this is the wrong place to ask! Even if you could say that some of the people here or on the discord are furries (from their avatars or their declarations), you might be able to determine whether furryism is popular with pico8 players/devs, but not that pico8 is popular with furries — for that you’d need to ask about pico8 in furry spaces.

Why you are asking this? and what you are implying with «legally»?

This is such a strange conversation. We should try and do a poll on this honestly because now I'm just generally interested in the percentage.
