Here is my version of the roguelike from LazyDevs excellent Pico 8 roguelike tutorial on youtube.
I kept it very vanilla as my coding abilities are limited. But I tweaked a few of the game rules and added my own graphics and sound.
My version of the game is more about identifying the potions by either eating them or throwing them at monsters.
Hint- eating unidentified potions is playing Russian Roulette.
X opens the inventory menu and equips/ eats /throws.
Z backs out of the menu system.
Enjoy.

Hey I really love your roguelike game :D.
The music and the simple artstyle (great job animating btw) fit the over all theme of the game!
I guess my best run was Level 7 on easy (north), how many more levels are there to explore? According to the creatures I saw in the game data, not much more :D.
Code seems pretty readable aswell!
Keep up the good work.

Here now, @Aeklad, I like this game, gold star work, but the torches are hard to see with them and their flame being the same color as the torch and the darkest blue color in the palette.
Here is a little light on the subject:

If you like them, feel free to paste them.
Also I noticed the dungeon is different every time and the potions are different too. You could add an "Enter Thy Lucky Number ..." like Akalabeth did years ago. To force the random creation of a dungeon that has the exact same layout and same items for colored potions based upon the entered seeded number.
. . .

Ah ! I won the game. This is the first time to have this happen for this tutorial game.
