i really like the game and atmosphere, although i'm not finished yet. i looked away for one minute and when i get back the game was yellow.

i finish it. :)

i'm missing a wipe data option at the menu to be able to start from begging again.

Hi this is a known issue, I think it’s something to do with memory overflow. But I’m glad you like it so far! Hopefully reloading fixes the yellow screen problem, I will work on the problem.

just finished it and got the "true" end screen! loved it. beautiful puzzle concept and art.

Thanks so much! Glad you played and found the true ending!

Nice little puzzler!

By the way, are these intended solutions?

Each of these skips a snake.

Nope not intended lol. But clever skips!

This is a really lovely cart. The levels are nicely put together with a steady increase in complexity. The animation is good and the game is easy to understand.

There are a couple of "sticky bits" where you can get caught in a flow of water and are unable to get out (even though it seems like you should be able to dash out). But this is a minor issue.

I loved the "end-game" - this was a really cool unexpected part. Can't believe I missed these rooms the first time round!

Also please add a reset progress feature to make it easier to play again. And a total "time taken" wouldn't go amiss.

Wow thanks glad you enjoyed it! And I like your feature ideas, but this was my second pico 8 game so I am actually at the token limit O.o I might go back and optimize the code to add features or I might just use snippets and make a new project. If I do make a new project, I’ll be sure to add replayability though!

I just took a quick glance at the code, and there are definitely ways you can make some space for some more tokens. For instance, you can multi-assign variables. Consider this kind of single assignment of two variables:

px=32
py=40

It's 6 tokens. Now consider multi-assigning them like so:

px,py=32,40

Now it's 5 tokens. You can even do 3 or 4 or more at a time. Sure, it's not a huge saving, but you have a bunch of assignments in your _init() alone, so it's not nothing. There are probably more token-saving techniques you could use, too. Search on this forum for "token saving" and similar, and you'll find a bunch of posts discussing various methods. (Admittedly some might be more extreme than you might want to do, but others are as easy as multi-assignment.)

Thanks for the tip! that will save me a lot of tokens, I will look up token saving too

Thank you!

Wow nice, you got the whole thing mapped out!

Very nice game, not much to say that hasn't been said already about the game.
About the game code :
LUA has an integer divide operator : \
everywhere you have block logic and do something like flr(x/8)*8, you can just write x\8*8 and save some tokens.

Thanks I did not know that that is so much simpler than what o was doing, and thanks for playing my game!
