Football Manager Pico-80s
A football management game inspired by the classic 8-bit games of the early 1980s, including Football Manager and The Boss. You start in Division 4 and work your way up to the top of Division 1.
Competitions include the Four League Divisions, a cup competition and Play-Offs if you miss out on the automatic promotion places.
Transfer
You can buy and sell players (once per week) to improve your squad. Once you enter those menus, you have one chance to buy or sell.
Money
If you run out of money, the bank covers the shortfall automatically and adds it to your loan. If your debts exceed your credit limit after your available funds are taken into account, you are sacked. The credit limit is £250,000 in Division 4 and £1,000,000 in Division 1. Getting sacked deletes your save
Saving
Your game is saved automatically at the end of every season. When you next load the game, you'll be given the choice to start a new game or continue your saved career. Just select "load saved game", and you'll pick up the season you left off.
There's one save slot, so it always holds your most recent completed season. Your progress mid-season is not saved. If you quit during a season and start a new game, that season's progress will be lost.

Nice! I chose Liverpool and played it to the end, finished second in the first division (@#€% Coventry)
I found out a loophole: if I sell all the extra players then noone gets injured, also I kept winning almost all games so all players ended up having energy 1 but morale 20 (maybe that's why they kept winning).
In the first division whenever I tried to sell any player the amount offered was always negative (meaning I had to pay).
Not sure what's the limit for loans because at some point I borrowed around 700k I think, and I never got the sack.
I had the pleasure of facing myself lol (Liverpool vs Liverpool). I don't know if I won or lost that match XD
All in all it's a cool game, thanks!

This is really cool. I liked the game simulation, that GOAL hits so good lol. My brother almost exclusively plays football manager games, I'm sure he'll be very into this!!
> I found out a loophole
I hoped no one would find this. I wanted to balance the game by not having the player have too many injuries, so they would have at least 11 players. I should add a minimum squad size before you can sell players.
> In the first division whenever I tried to sell any player the amount offered was always negative (meaning I had to pay).
Yeah, this is a bug. Fix in the next update (coming in five minutes)
> Not sure what's the limit for loans because at some point I borrowed around 700k I think, and I never got the sack.
The limit is 250k in Div 4 and 1m in Div 1. It's you need to max out your loans and then run out of money, so it's pretty hard to get sacked.
> I had the pleasure of facing myself lol (Liverpool vs Liverpool). I don't know if I won or lost that match XD
Yeah, that's another bug (caused by fixing the bug yesterday), also fixed in the next update.

Thanks a lot. I hope he likes it.

Game is fun! Played two seasons before I knew it :)
I just have one comment : It's too bad that goalkeepers are basically treated as defenders. It's ok to not have a goalkeeper on the pitch, and it's also allowed to have more than one, which felt like cheating :)
The idea was to keep the game as simple as possible, like the 8-bit games it was based on. However, I might add this for the full release.
