Fizzle
Soar through the void and collect sparks to keep your flame going.
This was my submission for the 1k-jam 2025.

It's great how this gradually ramps up difficulty and we learn to get better at intersecting each spark. Neat fading effects a color gradients too.
My best so far: 38 points.

What would make this game better, for me, is if the spark stayed centered on the screen. And the best part is it wouldn't take much more space, just a change to to the way you draw the screen. Render the screen just as you did, but when you copy it to the screen, just offset the pixel you're drawing by the coordinates of the spark, being sure to take the mod ( % ) of the offset so it wraps around properly.
the wrapping is super confusing, especially with the turning controls. it would be a great idea to have the camera center on the spark, like @joealarson said, but that might cause multiple sparks to appear on the screen like Snake infinite mode. either way, great idea!
@joealarson and @Luminion_ I'm not sure how that would work without breaking the tail rendering.
Also not sure I can implement it before the 1k-jam ends. So if I implement it at all, it might be in a post-jam version.
