Hello, it's me, Pizza.
I did a bunch of music in pico-8, like the Lemmtris soundtrack and wrote an article about making music for the pico-8 zine. I threw all of the music I did with pico-8 into an album and put it up on Bandcamp.
Well, here it is if you wanna check it out: PIZZAMAKESMUSIC – PICO-8DITION
Sorry if this is obvious and I'm the only one out of the loop, but where is said picozine article located? I would love to read about your creation process, been trying to get into it a bit myself lately but getting the tracks to mesh well with each other and fall into alignment with each other is proving very difficult :'(
It's been fun pausing your videos though and checking out the tricks you use to achieve certain effects, I'll have to look through your submitted games as well. Would love it if you posted your carts for some of your videos you post as well. Are they included in the bandcamp purchase? Would make a compelling reason to buy :P
Here's the Picozine #1, that contains Pizza's article.
And you can check his profile and save the .png of his carts, and open them with Pico8
Great stuff btw Pizza! My music is pretty crappy at the moment, so this makes for great study material :D
@MaikelOrtega - Ahh thank you, people seem to refer to it as "picozine" rather than pico-8 zine (for obvious reasons, it's a mouthfull) which has very confusing google results.
Thanks, yeah I should just do that, I thought some of his newer stuff might not be included in those but I'm sure there's enough material in those to keep me busy for weeks :P
Adding the carts to the Bandcamp purchase is a great idea. You now get a 17th track with your download that holds a link to an archive containing all the carts. It's a bit convoluted, but once you've downloaded the album, you have to go into the properties of track 17 and copy paste the title from there, as some special characters don't show in the explorer.
The only ones not included are the very very first one, and the very very last one I did. Everything else should be in there.
If you've got any more ideas, don't hesitate to let me know!
